A found novel describing a girl named Nancy what the 100 best animals are, which are what would be expected in such a list, large mammals, those with faces, those that are useful to humans, is altered through the removal of the 100 illustrations. They are replaced with 100 drawings of what I consider to be the best animals.

These are organized according to a table of contents based upon Jorges Luis Borges' Celestial Emporium of Benevolent Knowledge, a seemingly nonsensical taxonomy that inspired Michel Foucault's The Order of Things.

This work is ongoing.
